This news could be a massive blow to all Liverpool supporters around the world. It has been reported that Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has admitted that his new contract could be his last in the game.

It is believed that Gerrard told reporters that he will be 33 at the end of his contract in 2013 and that he doesn’t
know if he will carry on playing football after that.

The player also added that if he do retire, then he will know that from the start to the end of his career he only had one club and he don’t want to think about wearing any other shirt in the future.

The player also admitted that he was close to leaving in the past, most notably in 2005. He said that in 2005 Liverpool were a long way off the Premier League title and Chelsea’s interest got his head turning.

Gerrard also admitted that it was a difficult moment for him but said that he is very happy that he chose to stay with Liverpool and that it has given him real pride.
