Reports are out claiming that Juventus captain Gianluigi Buffon rates Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech ahead of Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer.
The Italian international says Cech, who was forced to leave Chelsea in the summer after losing his place to Thibaut Courtois, is the “most complete” keeper in the game.
“Over the last decade, (Iker) Casillas and Cech have been the best two goalkeepers,” says the Italian.
“Looking at the past three years, I’d say for Manuel Neuer, he is fantastic in the air, but Cech is the most complete goalkeeper.”
Buffon also told Marca: “The best goalkeeper in my time has been Casillas.”
