Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has declared that three points are a must today against Sevilla.
Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini claimed that the outcome of the title would be decided by today’s matches and Guardiola knows only a win in Seville is likely to be enough for his side to retain the championship.
Guardiola told reporters that : “We know that only a victory will do, we can’t go by halves,”.
He also said that : “We’ll attack from the first minute and we’ll be an ambitious team,”.
Pellegrini claimed he would like to see how Barca would have done had Lionel Messi been out for two months.
“I haven’t got enough experience to know what would have happened, but what Real Madrid have done has a lot of merit – they have had an immense season,” Guardiola said.
The Barca coach, however, did dismiss Pellegrini’s claims that Madrid will have lost the title because of an unjust defeat at the Nou Camp back at the end of November.
“Pellegrini must have forgotten that they lost against 10 men and that in the second half they didn’t have a shot on goal.
“And that was eight months ago, to lose the league because of that (is hypothetical), but he has more experience than me so he should know,” he said.
