Reports have emerged claiming that former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has again slammed this season’s Liverpool squad.
Speaking ahead of Thursday’s 1-1 draw with French side Bordeaux, ex-Tottenham boss Redknapp further clarified his belief that the side isn’t as good as it has been in recent seasons – despite having spent over £80million again in they summer.
“I said the other week, you know, and lots of people didn’t agree with me when I said I thought it was the worst Liverpool team in the last few years, because they’ve lost Gerrard as well – I mean, important, important players,” declared Redknapp, speaking on BT Sport.
“That’s not all down to Brendan [Rodgers], he could do nothing about Suarez leaving, nothing about Sterling leaving and nothing about Sturridge being injured, so it’s been a difficult time for him.”
