Tottenham’s Harry Redknapp is said to be interested in signing England’s (soon to be) under-21 goalkeeper – Fraser Forster.
The search for a keeper intensified after Carlo Cudicini’s unfortunate accident recently.
Forster is currently on loan at Norwich City and is gaining rave reviews.
The Geordie boy has been a real hit with Canaries’ fans at Carrow Road and has kept seven clean sheets in 12 games.
That was enough for Norwich boss and former Scotland and Borussia Dortmund star Paul Lambert to ask Newcastle if he could extend his loan deal until the end of the season – which was granted by the Magpies.
United also relaxed the conditions of his loan deal to allow him to play in the FA Cup, with a trip to Carlisle United looming in the second round.
Yet Forster – who has been touted as an England under-21 international – is just delighted to be enjoying first-team football.
He told the Chronicle: “I am delighted to be keeping clean sheets.
“The back four have been great, but it is nice to be keeping clean sheets.
