Reports are out claiming that Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen has said that he is not the right man to give contract advice to teammate Raheem Sterling.
The England international has been the subject of continuous speculation regarding his Liverpool future since he revealed to the BBC that he turned down a £100,000-a-week deal but Allen feels he is not well-placed to help the 20-year with his decision.
Allen said: “I’m not the man to give him advice. It’s something that everyone is hopeful will get resolved and that he can be here at this club for a very long time.”
Sterling, who has recently been linked with Arsenal and Manchester City, is contracted at Anfield until the summer of 2017.
