Reports have emerged claiming that Arsenal are bracing themselves for the next six or so weeks without key midfielder Francis Coquelin.
The French defensive midfielder suffered a knee injury early in Saturday’s 2-1 loss at West Bromwich Albion and reports suggest he could be sidelined until the New Year.
The Daily Mail reports that Coquelin has had scans on the affected area which have shown a fair amount of ligament damage.
The Gunners fear the 24-year-old could be out for the rest of 2015 but the club’s medical team will wait for the swelling to go down before they can form a complete diagnosis and come up with a likely return date.
