Sensational transfer news are out and it has been reported that Jose Mourinho is planning to offer William Gallas an escape route out of Arsenal.
It is believed that the former Chelsea boss is keen to work with the Frenchman again, after originally coaching him during their time at Chelsea together.
Defender Gallas aged 31, has been a controversial figure for the Gunners since signing for the club in 2006 but despite speculation surrounding his future, he has refused to categorically commit his long-term future to the north Londoners.
Gallas recently said to reporters that he is at Arsenal and that his contract is still valid for a year, therefore he is an Arsenal player at the moment but added that both parties have not talked about renewing the contract.
It was widely known that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger made Gallas captain following the departure of Thierry Henry to Barcelona two years ago but he was stripped of the armband early last season after going public about dressing room tensions between his team-mates.
And, following the arrival of £11million Thomas Vermaelen from Ajax, rumours are out that Wenger is willing to sell Gallas rather than risk losing him on a free transfer in Januray.
Gallas is also thought to be attracting interest from Inter’s Italian rivals Juventus, while Paris St Germain and Marseille are keen on bringing him back to France.
