Ivory Coast will keep their fingers crossed in regards to the fitness of Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.
The African nation are sweating on how their star striker will come through after having surgery on a broken arm he sustained in a warm-up match against Japan last week.
Drogba is currently in Berne, Switzerland recovering from the surgery but Ivory Coast boss Sven-Goran Eriksson is hopeful his main man will be right.
“We still hope he will make it but he is in a hospital in Switzerland. I must wait for another update from the specialist,” the Swede said.
An official Ivory Coast statement said: “The surgery has been a success and medical staff are confident about a rapid restoration of the player.”
