It has been revealed that Manchester United are poised to offer a new contract to promising youngster Jesse Lingard.
The Daily Mirror is reporting Lingard is set to double his weekly wage to £50,000 after establishing himself in Louis van Gaal’s first XI and being called up to the England national team.
Lingard scored his first Premier League goal in the Red Devils’ 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion prior to the international break and also played a key role in their vital Champions League win over CSKA Moscow.
The former Derby County loanee also started in the weekend’s 2-1 win over Watford at Vicarage Road, playing a full 90 minutes.
