Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho has explained his clash with Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes following the second leg of the Champions League semi-final at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night.
The Portuguese tactician raced across the pitch to go and celebrate with Inter fans after his side had qualified for the final despite a 1-0 loss and Valdes wrapped him up with a tackle before he broke free.
Mourinho said he was simply going to rejoice with Inter fans as is his right as manager of the club.
“I was celebrating with my fans,” Mourinho said of the Valdes incident later. “It is my right to do that. They are my fans. It is not a problem.”
