Interesting news are out and it has been reported that Spanish giants Real Madrid are planning a £15 million bid for Liverpool fullback Glen Johnson.
The Sun has reported that Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is keen to add a rampaging right-back to his squad at the Bernabeu and the Anfield star is on his wanted list.
It is however believed that Mourinho’s first choice is Brazil’s Maicon, who was a key member of Inter Milan’s treble-winning campaign last season.
But it is believed that the European champions are desperate to keep hold of the Brazilian defender , who scored in their World Cup win against North Korea.
And new San Siro coach Rafa Benitez is no friend of the Madrid boss after the pair fell out during the Special One’s time with Chelsea in the Premier League.
Mourinho sold Johnson, 25, to Portsmouth for £6m just a month before he left Stamford Bridge in September 2007 but two years later the player moved on to Liverpool in an £18m move.
