Barcelona management believe Jose Mourinho did them a favour with his antics in the aftermath of Inter Milan’s victory this week.
It has been reported that the Special One’s behaviour in the players’ tunnel after Inter’s 3-1 Champions League semifinal win infuriated not only the players – but also coach Pep Guardiola.
Mourinho is said to have rowed with Barca midfielder Xavi and also pointed to his temple when facing Guardiola. The Portuguese later claimed he was not taunting Guardiola, but his support staff.
The actions left Guardiola in a rage in the away dressing room, while the players were also furious.
There was little comment from Barca players on Mourinho after the game, as they have vowed to deliver their revenge on the pitch in the second-leg at the Nou Camp.
