Real Madrid legend Christian Karembeu has backed French striker Karim Benzema to be a success under new manager Jose Mourinho.
Despite talk of Benzema being sold to Manchester United, Karembeu backed his fellow Frenchman to thrive under Mourinho’s management.
Karembeu said : “Karim is going to have another chance with Mourinho, a coach who knows French football and is going to find the best in him,”.
“It is clear that it will be very competitive with Gonzalo Higuain, who is a great scorer, but he will have time and I think he will succeed. Benzema has talent and can offer more than he has.”
