Reports are out claiming that Kevin de Bruyne was delighted to kickoff his Manchester City career with a win.
The Belgium international started for City in their victory at Crystal Palace.
“It’s always nice to win the game, especially when you score so close to the end,” said De Bruyne to City’s website.
“I think the first half was very difficult but the second half was better; we put more pressure on them and we got a little bit of luck when the keeper let the ball go, but it’s a big win for us.
“The difference is not that big between England and Germany – the teams play very good football and it is difficult to win playing away. At the end of the season, if you win the title, nobody will talk about individual games like this, but these games help you get to where you need to be. It’s still early in the season, but to get a win in this manner is pleasing.”
