Australia’s Harry Kewell insists he is ready for the World Cup opener against Germany and hopes he is able to contribute more than 30 minutes.
The Galatasaray star has been training hard to get back to full fitness after an ongoing groin injury and although it has been mooted he may only see a small amount of game time on Sunday, he feels he is ready to give more to the Socceroos.
“I’m hoping for more than that,” Kewell said. “The medical staff’s happy with how I’m travelling, Pim’s very happy with how I’m going.
“I can’t make his mind up for him. He’s the one that has the final decision on who plays and what happens.
“All I can be is 100 per cent ready, same as any other player.”
