Interesting news are out and it has been reported that LA Galaxy are keen to increase Landon Donovan’s contract to keep him at the club.
The 2009 MLS MVP has recently been linked with a move to Mexican outfit Club America as well as whispers from clubs in Europe but it seems the Galaxy are keen to secure him on a new, improved deal.
Donovan is currently on about $900,00 a year but the MLS runners-up are prepared to increase that with a long-term deal that could earn him almost double that salary.
It is reported that LA Galaxy are keen to get the deal done as quickly as possible to ward off any other interest in the 27-year old and make him one of a handful of MLS players to earn more than $1million per season.
