It has been reported that David De Gea was embroiled in a long-running transfer saga over the summer.
The Manchester United goalkeeper seemed destined to to join hometown club Real Madrid during the most recent transfer window but a document processing blunder on Spain’s deadline day denied the move.
De Gea remained at Old Trafford and has played a key part in Louis van Gaal’s men sitting fourth on the Premier League table but La Liga chief Javier Tebas, who has revealed he is a Madrid fan, wishes it was a different outcome.
“De Gea is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and I wish he played in our League, regardless of who for,” Tebas told AS.
