Outgoing Barcelona president Joan Laporta has said that the club has done great business with the signing of David Villa.
Spanish champions FC Barcelona coughed up £31 million for the former Valencia striker before the World Cup and given his form in South Africa, Laporta is convinced they’ve saved around £18 million in doing an early deal.
Laporta told reporters that : “What would Villa cost now? I would say another £18 million,”.
“Now, everyone is saying we were right to buy him before the World Cup.”
