Central defender Ledley King has confirmed that he is eager to open new contract talks with Tottenham.
Spurs have an option for a one-year extension to the club captain’s current contract which runs out at the end of the season.
And now King has learnt to manage his chronic knee condition and has played in six league games this campaign, a deal looks likely.
King, now age 29, told reporters that it takes two and that it is not just down to him.
The defender went on to say that the first thing is staying fit and playing games and only then he will sit down with the club representative and have his say.
