Libya won an African Cup of Nations match on foreign soil for the first time as they beat Senegal 2-1 in a Group A match in Bata.
However, the Libyans failed to qualify for the quarter-finals because of Zambia’s 1-0 win over hosts Equatorial Guinea in the other Group A encounter.
Ihab Albosefe scored both goals for the Libyans, including a superb volleyed winner six minutes from full-time.
Albosefe opened the scoring in the fifth minute, before Deme N’Diaye equalised on 11 minutes for Senegal.
It completes a miserable tournament for Senegal who go home having lost all three games.
