It has been reported that Liverpool may go to Manchester United without three first-choice midfielders.
The Liverpool Echo report that Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana are doubtful for the game at Old Trafford, while Philippe Coutinho is suspended.
Coutinho is serving his one-match ban after being sent off against West Ham last time out.
Brendan Rodgers is also sweating over the fitness of his captain Henderson and Lallana with a decision on their availability to be made later in the week.
