It has been reported that Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier can’t believe Manchester United allowed Pedro to join Chelsea.
Le Tissier reckons top players such as former Barcelona attacker Pedro – a £21m recruit in the summer – are questioning whether to join the Old Trafford giants under the reign of their Dutch boss.
He said: “Losing Pedro was a really huge blow to United.
“They thought that was in the bag but Chelsea came and pinched him at the last minute and United were left with a bit of egg on their face.
“It’s surprising because, when I was playing, if United were linked with a player and they wanted him, they got him.
“The player went and there was no question – he wanted to join that club.
“But it does seem at the moment that players are thinking twice about joining United, which certainly never happened in the past.”
