Everton striker Louis Saha has revealed that he is concentrating on stepping up his fitness ahead of the upcoming English Premier League season.
The French striker is currently in Australia with the rest of the Toffees squad for their Down Under pre-season tour.
Saha said during a press conference that : “We just need to get in some more fitness work and everyone is concentrating on being ready for day one (against Blackburn on August 14). It is going to be a great season and hopefully we get a better start than last season,”.
“It is very important to bring the confidence, to bring the players to where we were last season. Like the manager said we finished very well so let’s do the same and put some pressure on the bigger teams.”
Saha when asked about his fitness said that : “At the moment, after a month-and-a-half holiday I’m feeling good. We get back to training and the fitness is getting better and better so hopefully we get through the games and get the confidence and everything will be fine,” he added.
