It has been reported that former Manchester United captain has stated that manager Louis van Gaal is finally getting things right tactically.
United suffered a difficult start to the season under van Gaal and the players looked a bit unsure as to the system the Dutchman was trying to initially implement.
However, United have managed to finally adopt van Gaal’s philosophy and now former defender Neville has hailed the 65-year old for sticking to his guns and eventually getting it right.
Neville told Press Association Sport: “We were always very fixed in our formation.
“Louis van Gaal through necessity has had to change his formation to get different people in at different times. In the last four weeks he has settled into a 4-3-3. It has worked really well and the players looked comfortable in the system.
“He said at the start of the season that his team would get better, they always get better and he has stuck to his word. He said they would be in the Champions League and I think he will be correct.”
