Chelsea youngster Romelu Lukaku is eyeing an opportunity under Jose Mourinho next season.
The Belgium international has spent his last two seasons away from London with West Bromwich Albion and Everton. Lukaku has proved his talent at these two clubs scoring 17 in 35 games for West Brom in 2012-2013 season and 15 in 31 appearances for Everton in last Premier League season.
Lukaku has been linked with a move to the La Liga champions Atletico Madrid as their striker Diego Costa is on his way to Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year-old is keen to play for Chelsea, he told Het Nieuwsblad, ‘It would be nice to get clarity beforehand, but that will not happen, so I’m completely focused on the World Cup.”
“You know, I still have a two-year contract at the biggest club in England, because that’s Chelsea. So I still hope to play there. Chelsea have a good coach.”
The 21-year-old further added, “I have been working hard on my game over the past few months and everything seems to be coming out now.”
“I have a good feeling about this competition.”
Lukaku who is currently a part of Belgium squad for the World Cup has scored four goals for Belgium is last two games.
