Former AC Milan captain Paolo Maldini has revealed that he has been in regular contact with management recently.
Maldini was linked with a playing return at Milan last week.
Asked about the club’s current problems, the Rossoneri legend said: “For Milan to compete with the big European clubs they should invest in the market and, as far as I know, there will soon be a meeting where they will plan for the market.”
On coach Leonardo’s future, he said: “If Leo had to give up, in my mind I think that he would leave only to be reunited with his children (in Brazil).”
And on his own future, Maldini added: “My future with the club? I speak every day with (Adriano) Galliani …”
