Interesting football news are out and it has been reported that Florent Malouda has signed a two-year contract extension with Chelsea.
It was earlier reported that the French winger was destined for the exit at Stamford Bridge until Guus Hiddink’s spell in charge revitalised his fortunes.
And it is now believed that the performances were enough to persuade new boss Carlo Ancelotti to offer him another deal and keep the speedy winger at Chelsea.
Malouda, who had 12 months of his current contract to run, said to reporters that he has added two more years in his contract at Chelsea, and therefore will be at Stamford Bridge for the next three years.
Malouda, who joined the Blues from Lyon for £13.5million in 2007, also believes the FA Cup holders will be in the hunt for glory next season.
The 29-year-old added that Chelsea will make the Premier League and Champions League a priority this season.
