It has been reported that Manchester City are awaiting the results of tests on Sergio Aguero’s knee injury.
The Argentine international striker was injured in City’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday and the Premier League leaders will be hoping it is a positive scenario as they prepare for their Champions League opener against Juventus this week.
Aguero limped off in the first half of his side’s fifth win of the league campaign and has since had tests which will show more by Monday.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini told Sky Sports after the win that he was remaining hopeful for his leading attacker.
The Chilean said: “It was an important kick on his knee. We’ll see if he can recover between now and Tuesday.
“It’s very difficult to say now. It’s important to see how he recovers. We’ll see.”
