It has been reported that Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal was amazed by Leicester City goalscorer Jamie Vardy after their 1-1 draw.
Foxes forward Vardy broke Ruud van Nistelrooy’s 10-match scoring streak record by netting in his 11th straight Barclays Premier League game.
“You can imagine that we have prepared [to stop] that because that is Leicester’s quality. We knew in advance that they are fantastic at counter-attacking,” said Van Gaal.
“It was unbelievable that it could happen, especially after a corner kick. We gave the goal away, but it is also the quality of Vardy. We had sensible organisation for the corner kick, but still we conceded the goal so that’s a disappointment.”
