A controlled explosion was carried out by a specialist military team after a mobile phone was found attached to a pipe by a member of staff in the stadium’s north-west quadrant. The entire ground was evacuated after the discovery around 15 minutes before the scheduled 3pm kick-off.
Bournemouth staff and players are understood to be flying back tonight, which means the earliest the game can be replayed is Tuesday evening.
