Reports have emerged claiming that Manchester United are in talks with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
BILD reported that United have opened negotiations with Gundogan’s representatives about a summer move to Old Trafford.
The Germany international has a year to run on his present deal and is refusing to consider new terms.
BVB have tabled a four-year contract worth €6.5 million-a-season, but Gundogan has stalled negotiations with United now coming forward.
After sounding optimistic over the prospect of Gundogan penning a new agreement, BVB chief Hans-Joachim Watzke could only say last night: “We expect a timely decision…”
