Bruno Martins Indi has declared that he will not push for a move away from Porto this summer.
The Holland centre-half has been linked with Manchester United, where manager Louis van Gaal has posted scouts to see him in action this year.
But Martins Indi, who only left Feyenoord for Porto after the World Cup, told Algemeen Dagblad: “It is no coincidence that Porto is in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Their players usually go to other major teams, such as Danilo now, but I do not see FC Porto as a stepping stone. For me it can also be a destination.”
Former Feyenoord coach Ronald Koeman is also keen on taking Martins Indi to Southampton for next season.
