It has been revealed that Manchester United are watching Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez.
The Evening Chronicle says Perez has already attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur, with White Hart Lane boss Mauricio Pochettino keen to sign the 22-year-old.
Spurs got nowhere with a late transfer deadline day query when the Magpies dismissed any prospect of him leaving St James’ Park.
The Spaniard, though, has a big fan in legendary former Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson, who is still influential at the club he led to 13 Premier League titles.
Perez told Marca: “They are big words that I have to prove so much.
“But I’m young and I have a long journey.
“I work so everything gets better.”
