It has been reported that Manchester United defender Daley Blind has spoken of his goal in victory over Liverpool.
The Netherlands international and in-form centre-back opened the scoring just three minutes into the second half when he slotted home Juan Mata’s free-kick in front of the Stretford End.
The Dutchman later revealed the move was something the Reds had worked hard on at the Aon Training Complex: “It was really special for me to score my first goal at Old Trafford against Liverpool,” Blind told MUTV. “I was very happy with the goal and for the three points.
“We practised this goal, and this move, a lot. Sometimes it went in and sometimes not – normally I have to take a first touch but I struck it at once which was good. I think it was a good finish. It was an incredible feeling when I saw it go in. A lot of emotions came loose and I was very happy.”
