It has been reported that Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard will be due a bumper bonus if he makes his England debut against France.
The Daily Star claims that Lingard has a clause in his Old Trafford contract that guarantees him a one-off £50,000 payment when he makes his first Three Lions appearance.
Lingard, 22, has been called-up to replace United team-mate Michael Carrick after he suffered damaged ankle ligaments in Friday’s 2-0 defeat in Spain.
In-form striker Jamie Vardy has also been ruled out after failing to recover from a knock he sustained in Leicester’s game against Watford before the international break.
Roy Hodgson has defied United boss Louis van Gaal and promoted Lingard following his run of impressive form for the Premier League giants in recent weeks.
