Interesting news are out and it has been reported that Sporting Lisbon youngster Daniel Carrico is in the sights of cash rich Manchester City.
Local newspapers have reported that the 21-year-old centre-half has been a massive hit at the Estadio Jose Alvalade ever since breaking into the first-team last season.
And his assured displays at the heart of the Sporting rearguard have caught the attention of Eastlands boss Mark Hughes.
Carrico’s current contract does not expire until July 2013 but the right-footed defender does have an £18.4m release clause.
