Sensational transfer news are out and it is reported that Manchester United are leading the race to sign Wigan winger Antonio Valencia.
It has also been reported that the £16million-rated Ecuador ace was also a target for Real Madrid.
But Valencia’s agent Diego Herrera admits the Spanish giants’ interest has cooled since Florentino Perez took over as president.
Perez has already signed Kaka from AC Milan and has targetted widemen Cristiano Ronaldo and Franck Ribery.
Herrera added that the only official offer from Real Madrid for Antonio was in January. According to the agent, the offer came from the previous president and not from Perez. He also added that since Florentino is in charge there now so he does not know if Real Madrid are going to go for Valencia again.
Valencia is ready to end his time with the Latics after boss Steve Bruce left for Sunderland.
The agent was also reported saying that it is the right time for Valencia to leave.
