Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez will remain at the club next season even though he will not be playing in the Champions League for a second season running.
The Argentine has made no secret of his love for the European competition and was hoping to again qualify for it, this time with City, who he joined from Manchester United last summer.
After losing to Tottenham on Wednesday, ending their Champions League hopes, City boss Roberto Mancini confirmed that Tevez would not leave Eastlands.
“Carlos Tevez has a contract with Manchester City and he will be here next season,” said Mancini.
