Reports are out claiming that Olympique Marseille have sounded out Chelsea about teaming up to sign Charles Aranguiz.
Both clubs have an interest in the Internacional midfielder, though Chelsea view the Chile international as a long-term prospect, while l’OM do not have the cash to meet his price-tag.
La Provence claims that OM have sounded out Chelsea about signing Aranguiz and immediately loaning him to them for 12 months.
Marseille management have suggested Aranguiz could use the year to adjust to European football before eventually joining the Blues next summer. It would also keep the Chilean out of the hands of rival bidders Bayer Leverkusen.
Chelsea and Marseille have been developing closer ties this year, with OM president Vincent Labrune confirming strategy talks with the Premier League champs towards the end of last season.
The talented midfielder is also linked with a move to Arsenal.
