Reports are out claiming that Per Mertesacker expects Arsenal to bring Wojciech Szczesny back from Roma.
The Poland international goalkeeper is on a season-long with Roma – without the option to sign permanently.
Mertesacker told the London Evening Standard: “Wojciech wants to compete. I think he’s a good goalkeeper and he can still improve.
“The team wants him back, I think it’s good for him.
“He showed great character in this team, and I think he has a bright future.”
