Bad news for all Chelsea fans as midfielder Michael Essien has been ruled out of action for two months after he suffered a hamstring injury.
The Blues defensive midfielder suffered the hamstring injury in the first half of Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with APOEL Nicosia in their champions league clash.
A preliminary scan yesterday is understood to have uncovered damage which could sideline Essien for four weeks and if this proves to be true, the Ghana international will recover just in time to go to the African Nations Cup in January.
