Interesting transfer news are out and it has been reported that Middlesbrough are demanding £7 million for winger Adam Johnson.
Local newspapers have reported that Sunderland are one of a posse of clubs chasing the highly-rated left sided midfielder, with Liverpool and Chelsea also linked with the 22-year-old.
Johnson is out of contract next summer and will be able to leave Teesside for a fraction of his true value, with Boro boss Gordon Strachan admitting he had little chance of persuading the player to sign a new deal.
It is reported no that Sunderland manager Steve Bruce is a keen admirer and has already made enquiries about the Wearside-born winger with Middlesbrough slapping a £7m valuation on their prize asset.
