Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has again played down linking him with a move away from the club.
The Serbia international has constantly been linked with a move to a big European club such as Real Madrid or Barcelona when his contract at Old Trafford expires in 2012 but once again he has said that he is not thinking about moving on.
Vidic told reporters that : “I have never said I’d like to move to Madrid,”
He also added that : “I will definitely stay here until 2012 at least and then we have time to speak about whatever may happen in the future.
“I am enjoying it here and I think I’ve showed that on the pitch. For now, all I’m focused on is playing the game and doing my best.
“Media speculation can affect your concentration and I don’t want that now.
“Maybe earlier in the season, because I had a few injuries, people started talking and saying ‘he’s not happy’. But none of it came from me.
“I’d like to win four league titles in a row because nobody’s done it before in the English game and I want to make history.”
