Reports have emerged claiming that Newcastle United are believed to be closing in on a deal for Georginio Wijnaldum.
According to Sky Sports, the Magpies have entered advanced talks with PSV Eindhoven regarding their captain and star midfielder Wijnaldum.
There has not yet been a formal bid made by the Toon but it is believed that PSV want at least £14million for the 24-year old who led his club to the Eredivisie title last season.
Newcastle boss Steve McClaren is determined to attract some quality to St James’ Park this summer and the potential arrival of Wijnaldum could be the beginning of an influx in the north east ahead of the 2015/15 Premier League season.
The talented Dutch international has also attracted the interest of Arsenal.
