No New Stadium For Liverpool Until The Global Recession Ends

anfield-1

Bad news for all Liverpool fans as it has been announced that the club will not get a new stadium until the global recession is over.

It is only after the global recession that will credit become available to finance the £490million Stanley Park project.

The 60,000-seater replacement for Anfield (built in 1884) was due to be opened next year but the economic downturn forced the club to halt building work last August, with no date set for work to resume.

Reds’ managing director Christian Purslow told reporters that the construction works will only begin when the global financial markets re-establish their equilibrium.
