AC Milan defender Oguchi Onyewu was delighted to be back playing international soccer on Saturday following a seven-month lay-off because of a knee injury.
The 28-year old came on as a second-half substitute on the 3-1 World Cup warm-up win over Australia on the weekend and said he was feeling great leading into the tournament proper.
“I’m feeling good. This is the third game back since my injury, and I’m progressively feeling better. Since the camp started, there haven’t been any issues,” he said.
