Reports are out claiming that Manchester City and Chelsea are facing disappointment in their pursuit of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.
The Sunday Express reported that the French international is heading for Barcelona whose transfer embargo ends in January.
City chased the former Manchester United youngster throughout the last transfer window but weren’t prepared to meet the asking price of more than £70 million.
Now it’s believed recent negotiations between Juventus and Barcelona representatives has cleared the path to a move to the Spanish giants next summer.
It’s a blow to City who still have designs on the player who was allowed to leave Old Trafford for Italy after believing his opportunities were limited at United.
