Paul Scholes has declared that football has never lost its fun for him.
The Manchester United veteran midfielder was asked by one young fan in South Africa if turning pro meant the game was no longer enjoyable.
“I think it’s really fun. Obviously we take it seriously, but at the end of the day it’s only a game. We’re so lucky that we’re able to do this as a job and get paid at the same time. We go out every day and we enjoy training, we enjoy playing games. I think the harder we work, in fact, the more we enjoy it. There’s no question it’s still fun.”
