Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny scored as Arsenal went top of the league with a 2-1 win over Everton at the Emirates.
Arsenal continued their strong performance against Bayern, giving away few chances, and opening Everton up on the right wing.
They had to wait for their goal, though, but Mesut Ozil’s excellent cross from the right made it easy for Olivier Giroud to glance past Tim Howard.
Two minutes later, Santi Cazorla delivered another excellent cross with a set-piece on the right, and Laurent Koscielny got to the ball before Howard, flapping hopelessly.
Ross Barkley pulled a goal back towards the end of the half with a shot that wickedly deflected off Gabriel’s outstretched leg.
In the second half, Arsenal continued to open up Everton with quick, accurate passing, and Giroud hit the post.
Brendan missed an incredibly simple chance at the back post with 15 minutes remaining, heading wide at the back post, and Romelu Lukaku’s skimmed the crossbar.
